The Giro d’Italia Virtual ENEL hosted by BKOOL launched part 3

    18/01/2023

After having reached over 7000 participants in its two previous events, on Monday 16th January the third round of the virtual edition of the Giro d’Italia got underway.

The Giro d’Italia Virtual ENEL is a virtual cycling experience created by BKOOL and RCS Sport, which allows its participants to compete on the same routes of the stages from the last edition of the Corsa Rosa. The event is held on the BKOOL virtual cycling platform, and the first two rounds have brought together over 7000 cyclists from all over the world.

On Monday 16th January 2023 Part 3 of this virtual cycling event got underway, which is open to all cycling fans across the world to take part in. All you need to ride on the stages of the Giro d’Italia Virtual is a Cycling Smart Trainer or a Smart Bike, and a BKOOL subscription. Furthermore, thanks to the 30 day free trial available at girovirtual website you can enjoy the various stages of this third round completely free.

The stages selected for the Giro d’Italia Virtual ENEL hosted by BKOOL – Part 3 are the following:

    • Stage 1 (From 16th to 22nd January) : Budapest – Visegrád.
    • Stage 2 (From 23rd to 29th January): Napoli.
    • Stage 3 (From 30th January to 5th February): Passo Fedaia Part 2.
    • Stage 4 (From 6th to 12th February): Santarcangelo di Romagna – Reggio Emilia.
    • Stage 5 (From 13th to 19th February): Rivarolo Canavese – Cogne Part 1.

All of the routes correspond to sections of the actual stages from the last edition of the Giro d’Italia, which BKOOL users will be able to experience first hand thanks to a new very realistic simulation technology, with HD video images and 3D elements, fused together for a truly immersive experience.

As well as riding with thousands of cyclists on the actual stages of the Giro, the event participants will take part in special prize draws for prizes including cycling nutrition packs or event VIP tickets for actual RCS Sport races, such as the Milano Sanremo or the Giro d’Italia 2023.

Cyclists such as Alberto Contador, Chris Froome or riders from the Soudal Quick-Step team will also be part of this original virtual challenge, sharing training sessions with the rest of the cycling fans.

Once again, the new technology helps to bring professional sport closer to the fans, this time bringing all the magic of one of the most famous and important races on the planet to the homes of thousands of amateur cyclists.
