Suzuki will be the official motorcycle of the 2025 Giro d’Italia.
The partnership between Suzuki and RCS Sports & Events will not be limited to the Giro d’Italia, scheduled from May 9 to June 1, but will extend to all major international events organized by RCS Sports & Events. These include Strade Bianche, Strade Bianche Women, Tirreno-Adriatico, Milano-Torino, Milano-Sanremo, Sanremo Women, Il Giro d’Abruzzo, Giro-E, Giro Next Gen, Giro d’Italia Women, GranPiemonte, and Il Lombardia.
RCS Sports & Events has chosen Suzuki as its partner, recognizing the Hamamatsu brand’s strong ties to the world of cycling and its commitment to sustainable mobility, where bicycles play a central role, promoting respect among all road users.
More details will be revealed on Friday, January 24, during the press conference at the Suzuki booth on the opening day of MotorBikeExpo, the event that traditionally kicks off the Italian motorcycle season and will be hosted at VeronaFiere until Sunday, January 26.
A parallel history, united by common values
The partnership between Suzuki and the Giro d’Italia seemed meant to be. In 1909, as Michio Suzuki founded Suzuki Loom Works in Hamamatsu to manufacture textile looms, the first Giro d’Italia was launched as a cycling competition organized by La Gazzetta dello Sport. Two stories born in the same year, both driven by continuous innovation and progress.
Suzuki also has strong historical ties to bicycles. The Hamamatsu-based company began its journey in transportation with the Power Free, a motorized bicycle introduced in 1952.
Since then, Suzuki has maintained its commitment to environmentally conscious mobility, synonymous with freedom and a source of deep emotions—values that align perfectly with the Giro d’Italia.
Suzuki also actively promotes awareness of the health benefits of using bicycles for daily commuting and leisure activities.
For Suzuki, cyclists embody the idea that dedication to pushing one’s personal limits makes it possible to achieve great goals. The discipline and determination shown by cycling athletes mirror the perseverance and ingenuity of Hamamatsu’s engineers, who strive to develop increasingly efficient and enjoyable products.
