The Giro d'Italia takes centre stage at the 2023 Trento Sports Festival
As from 2018, roughly around mid-October, the city of Trento turns pink and treats sports fans to four magical days, where they can come into contact with legends of various disciplines and listen to their incredible stories. Now in its 6th edition, the Festival dello Sport, organised by the Gazzetta dello Sport and Trentino Marketing, is warming up its engines for a new exciting edition, which will fill the streets of Trento from 12 to 15 October.
Needless to say, cycling has always played a central role in many of the conferences held over the years at the Teatro Sociale, Auditorium Santa Chiara, Sala Depero or Palazzo Geremia, with special guests such as Francesco Moser, Bradley Wiggins, Alberto Contador and Vincenzo Nibali, to name but a few.
In 2023, however, the show will take another step further. On Friday 13 October, in fact, the route of the 107th Giro d’Italia, which will be held from 4 to 26 May 2024, will be unveiled at the Festival, thus bringing to a close forecasts and discussions among fans that have been going on for months. Not only that, the upcoming Giro d’Italia Women 2024, the first edition organised by the RCS Sport team, will be presented as well. We are looking forward to welcoming you at 6pm at the Teatro Sociale in Via Paolo Oss-Mazzurana, 19.
As if that were not enough, the city of Trento will host two more events closely connected to the Corsa Rosa. On Thursday 12 at 12:30 p.m., at the Sala Depero, the Giro d’Italia Hall of Fame will be enriched with two new members who have written unforgettable pages in the history of Italian cycling, while on Friday 13 at 4 p.m., same venue, the round table “Giro d’Italia, un’eccellenza che valorizza il territorio” will be held. Both events are open to the public.
