The iconic final stage in Rome crowns Tadej Pogačar (UAE Team Emirates) as the winner of the 2024 Giro d’Italia and the FantaGiro.
The dominator of the Giro also won the last FantaStage, his eighth in this first edition of the FantaGiro d’Italia, totalling 140 points: 10 for retaining the Maglia Rosa, the same amount for maintaining the Blue Jersey, 50 for winning the final Giro standings, 20 for securing the Blue Jersey, and 8 for his placement in the final standings of the Maglia Ciclamino.
The Slovenian champion also earned 10 points for the Altruist Bonus (the rider in the Pink Jersey leads the final sprint for a teammate), 10 points for the Gilbert Bonus (celebrating by lifting his bicycle to the sky), and another 10 points for the daily bonus, which required a photo with the Colosseum.
Completing the podium of the 21st and final FantaStage are Tim Merlier (Soudal Quick-Step) with 93 points and, tied, Julian Alaphilippe (Soudal Quick-Step) and Antonio Tiberi (Team Bahrain Victorious) with 65 points.
