    All set for the Giro Next Gen 2024

    Giro Next Gen 2024 kicks off on 9 June

    The hunt for the successor to Johannes Staune-Mittet, winner in 2023 of the first edition of the Giro Next Gen Carta Giovani Nazionale organised by RCS Sport on behalf of the Italian Cycling Federation (FCI), will begin on 9 June with an 8.8km time trial through the streets of Aosta.

    The time trial, which will decree the first Maglia Rosa of the 2024 edition, will be anticipated on Saturday 8 June by the teams presentation, which will take place at 6.15 PM at the Park of the New University of Valle d’Aosta.

    There will be 29 teams at the start, including 14 formations linked to UciWorldTeams and UciProTeams such as Visma | Lease a Bike Development, which will try to defend the title won 12 months ago.

    Giro Next Gen Carta Giovani Nazionale: Tv Coverage

    The big news of this edition will be the two-hour daily live broadcast. From Sunday 9 June the Giro Next Gen Carta Giovani Nazionale will be broadcast on Discovery+.

    The Return of the Cycling Cup

    After being held during the Giro d’Italia, the Cycling Cup returns to the Giro Next Gen. The event involves young kids that will compete on the finishing straight of three stages – Borgomanero, Cremona and Forlimpopoli.

    The aim is to facilitate the approach of young generation to this sport, promote a correct lifestyle and spread the culture of fair play in compliance with the 10 principles set out in the 1992 UNESCO Charter of Children’s Rights in Sport.
