technical info

A mountain stage with a flat first half leading to Bassano del Grappa, followed by two long climbs taking riders onto the Asiago Plateau. Early on, the Muro di Ca’ del Poggio is tackled before crossing the Piave River and reaching Possagno and Romano d’Ezzelino, where the 25 km ascent of Monte Grappa begins via the historic Cadorna Road. A long descent leads to Fonzaso and Arsiè, then after descending the Scale di Primolano, riders tackle the “Enego climb” leading to the KOM at Dori, around 20 km from the finish.
Final kilometres
The last 20 km are very rolling, and the final 5 km after Gallio feature a slight descent until 900 m to go. Roads are wide and well-paved outside urban areas. One last corner at 300 m leads into the final straight, slightly uphill, on 8-metre-wide asphalt.
