BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE ROUTE
This route is mainly on cycle paths, with many things to see. Especially museums.
Technical info
This route is mainly on cycle paths.
First part heading north to Bizzozero. This section crosses a number of villages, with many changes of direction until Gornate Superiore. Here we hit the Valle Olona cycle path (featuring some unpaved sections), which we follow almost all the way to Solbiate Olona in an environment bordering the river with the roadway carved out of a former railway track.
Short detour to Tradate to visit the Fisogni Service Station Museum, which offers an interesting collection of petrol stations.
The last part of the route crosses the industrial area with wide roads but heavier traffic.
To avoid this last section, it is possible to go from Solbiate Olona to Fagnano Olona via the SP 22 and then follow the signs for Cassano Magnago, without however leaving inhabited areas and their fair amount of traffic.
NOTES:
In the town centre, several alternative car parks to the official one at starting point are available. Being a very densely populated area, traffic is significant all year round and this should be taken into account when planning the trip.
