Departure from Montella to head straight for Bagnoli Irpino and then tackle the main climb of the route, Colle Molella, which ends at the entrance to the Laceno Lake plain.

Departure from Montella to head straight for Bagnoli Irpino and then tackle the main climb of the route, Colle Molella, which ends at the entrance to the Laceno Lake plain.
The road has a rather wide carriageway and moderate traffic. After passing Bagnoli Irpino, there is a 3-kilometre stretch with an average gradient of 9.4% and a maximum gradient of 12%. At the end of this section, a monument dedicated to Marco Pantani can be admired
The Leceno Lake circuit allows visitors to ride around the whole lake and admire its particular configuration (refreshments are available at the summit during the warm season). The first part of the descent (especially the steepest) is the same as the ascent. In Bagnoli Irpino, follow the signs for Acerno leading to the Croci di Acerno Pass.
