technical info
Relatively flat opening at Lake Santa Croce, heading downhill to Vittorio Veneto and the Muro di Ca’ del Poggio, which leads into the Prosecco area. After crossing the Piave River, the route reaches the slopes of the brutal Monte Grappa, which will be tackled twice. Halfway down the descent (towards Romano d’Ezzelino) the short but steep (over 10%) Pianaro climb will be tackled as well. The climb of Monte Grappa winds with numerous bends and hairpin bends on a relatively narrow mountain road for over 18 km at an average gradient of 8% with peaks of up to 14% and is followed by a long descent to the line.
Last kilometres
The last 3 km wind through urban centres with straights and some connecting curves. A slight descent then leads into the final 350 m straight.
