Wednesday 28 May 2025 A mountainous day with two long central climbs: Passo del Tonale and Passo del Mortirolo from Monno (final 3 km always over 10%). Near Bormio, the riders also tackle the short climb to Le Motte.

Friday 30 May 2025 A massive Alpine stage with nothing but climbs and descents. Riders take on Col Tzecore (sections above 12% in the final 4 km), Col de Saint-Pantaléon, and Col de Joux. After descending to Brusson, the final uphill section begins towards Antagnod (gradients up to 11%).

Saturday 31 May 2025 Flat early on to the Canavese area, then a series of short, steep climbs leads to the Lanzo Valleys. Past Viù, the climb to Colle del Lys begins, followed by the brutal ascent of Colle delle Finestre (Cima Coppi) with an unrelenting 9.2% gradient all the way.

Sunday 01 June 2025 The final stage is split into two parts: first a ride from Rome-EUR to the coast and Ostia, then back to the start area before the final circuit (8 laps) through the heart of the Eternal City.

Friday 09 May 2025 A stage that livens up after a flat opening stretch of about 65 km. The riders will tackle the climb of Gracen before reaching Tirana and entering the final circuit just after the finish line, climbing the Surrel hill twice, featuring gradients up to 13% in the first section.

Saturday 10 May 2025 A completely urban time trial along wide boulevards connected by U-turns. A short climb to Sauk, midway through the course, is classified as a KOM (and also marks the intermediate time check). The final 2 km overlap with the previous day’s route.

Sunday 11 May 2025 A lively stage starting and finishing very close together. The route is essentially a loop around Mount Maja Qores (over 2000 m high right by the sea).

Tuesday 13 May 2025 A flat stage with only one short climb at Putignano. In Lecce, riders will enter the final circuit just after the finish line, covering almost the entire 12 km loop before crossing the line again and tackling a full lap.

Wednesday 14 May 2025 Largely flat until the last 35 km. After a short, steep, almost straight climb to Montescaglioso, a short descent and a slightly uphill false flat lead to the finish in Matera.

Thursday 15 May 2025 The longest stage of the 2025 Giro. Starting in Potenza, the route heads into the Irpinia area through the Lucanian mountains with the long ascent to the Valico di Monte Carruozzo. After entering the province of Naples, the final 45 km weave through towns before the finish on the waterfront of Via Caracciolo.

Friday 16 May 2025 An Apennine classic made up of alternating climbs and descents. Highlighted by the tough ascent of Monte Urano: short but with gradients reaching 14%.

Saturday 17 May 2025 Another mountainous stage. After a short flat section, the peloton enters the Teramo and Piceno Apennines, heading towards Sarnano to tackle the climb to Sassotetto. A technical descent then leads into a series of non-stop climbs and descents all the way to Castelraimondo.

Sunday 18 May 2025 From Gubbio to the hills of Siena via Cortona and Sinalunga, hitting several Strade Bianche gravel sectors: Pieve a Salti (8.0 km), Serravalle (9.3 km), San Martino in Grania (9.4 km), Monteaperti (600 m), and Colle Pinzuto (2.4 km, peaking at 15%). After clearing the gravel, the road heads to a city finale in Siena.

Tuesday 20 May 2025 A nearly flat time trial with a short climb midway. The start is in Lucca, looping almost completely around the city walls, and the finish is in central Pisa near the Leaning Tower.

Wednesday 21 May 2025 A stage clearly split into two halves: the first gently uphill to Castelnuovo Garfagnana, the second packed with long climbs and descents. The brutal ascent of San Pellegrino in Alpe (gradients up to 20%) is followed by the climbs of Toano and Pietra di Bismantova before the finish in Castelnovo ne’ Monti.

Thursday 22 May 2025 Undulating for the first 100 km, then completely flat to the finish. The route brushes past the Matildic Castles before a first pass over the line in Viadana, followed by a 27 km circuit.

Friday 23 May 2025 Flat at first, except for the short Passo Roverello in the Euganean Hills. With 60 km to go, riders hit the Berici Hills for continuous ups and downs, including the climb of San Giovanni in Monte. After a first pass over the finish line, a 20 km circuit with the climb of Arcugnano leads to the final kick at Monte Berico.
